The Boboli Gardens, located in the heart of Florence are not only the city’s green lung. It is a large green space that extends over 45,000 square meters and is a great example of Italian garden that the Florentines can enjoy for free while the entrance of tourists is charged.

The Boboli Gardens are a real open-air museum and a monumental park to be covered in at least three hours. Together with nature, they host sculptures, fountains and refreshing shelters for all seasons, from hot summer and spring days to cold winter days.
The Boboli Gardens are a magical blend of “green architecture” adorned with sculptures and fountains.

The Boboli garden model inspired many of Europe’s royal gardens, particularly Versailles.

Along the different walks to be taken in the Boboli Gardens you will discover some of the main areas. There is the Amphitheatre, the Viottolone, the Prato del Cavaliere, the green tower of the Koffeehouse and the Grotta Grande.

Entrance fee also includes a visit to the Porcelain Museum and the Bardini Garden.

In addition, you can buy a cumulative ticket for Boboli, the museums of Palazzo Pitti and the Uffizi Gallery (cost always depends on the time of year).
Every first Sunday of the month, admission is free for everyone!

Open every day from 8.15 a.m. Closure depends on the time of year: 4.30 p.m. (November-February), 5.30 p.m. (March and October during daylight saving time), 6.30 p.m. (April-May, September-October and March during daylight saving time) and 7.30 p.m. (June-August).

The last admission is always one hour before closing time.

Closing time:
Closed on 1st and last Monday of the month, 1st January and 25th December.

There may be possible time changes or temporary closures in the event of weather events with danger to the safety of property and persons.
