The shelter in Riva di Faggeto Lario, province of Como, was built at the end of the 1800s in a stone cave used by the miners for digging. In the last couple of years, it became the Writers’ Nest: a paradise on Lake of Como for whom wishes to be inspired.
It is an isolated place surrounded by a private garden which overlooks the beautiful Lake of Como. Here, the landscape couldn’t be more inspiring. The writer Giuseppe Guin is indeed currently living there. But whoever is looking for a unique experience can stay there as well.
Inside, the structure had two rooms: one facing the lake, and another one facing the woods; so that it can inspire the creativity of any writer. Moreover, a big glass veranda towers over the Lake, which creates an even more magical experience.
At the bottom of the cave, you can still admire old marks of the miners.Several centuries saw them working here. You can also find a quiet beach enclosed between the rocks by the Lake, which was once used by the fishermen.
Now, this place is the Writers’ Nest: a paradise on Lake of Como.
The entire villa can be rented for an approximate cost of 800€ per day.
Ultimately, some scenes of Casino Royale were shot around this lake!
