The young worried for the post Covid-19
The future after the Covid-19
Young people worried about the post-Covid-19, the restart after the acute crisis of the Coronavirus Emergency has begun, and the worst seems to be behind us. Now is the time to take all necessary measures to contain the contagion, while restarting the economy. However, the real focus of this restart, consisting mainly of young people, seems to be largely pessimistic. That’s right: according to a study conducted by IZI in collaboration with Comin & Partners, in fact, an important slice of young Italians are looking to the future with very little hope.
The survey was conducted on a sample of over 1,000 people between 18 and 40 years old. The results tell us that only 21% look to the future with optimism. Of the rest, 27% are convinced that their working future will not change due to the health and economic crisis. All the others, on the other hand, are pessimistic: one young person out of two is therefore convinced that they are going to meet less paid jobs. Or to important periods of unemployment. Only 22% seem to be determined to invest in training to improve their training.
“Without a shadow of a doubt, the first step is to take action on the training front, to add key skills to your professional profile,” explains Carola Adami, co-founder of the Adami & Associati recruitment company.
Invest in yourself
In the coming months there will be many people looking for a new job. Think, for example, of seasonal workers who will not have access to the usual summer positions, or workers who have left companies that have been downsized as a result of the crisis.
It is therefore essential to take the best possible care of your presentation, so that you stand out among the many candidates. Sometimes, however, the problem is upstream. Think of all those people who, because of the economic upheaval caused by the pandemic and the lockdown. Will soon have to deal with important professional changes. It is essential to understand the needs of the labour market and companies. To be fully aware of one’s skills and to be able to promote one’s brand in the best possible way.
